In het concept voor Zetel plaatst Marieke van Diemen de persoon in een kader. De stoel bestaat uit drie elementen: sokkel, muurtje en lijst. Het zijn bekende dragers uit de 2- en 3 dimensionale beeldende kunst. De sokkel dient als zitvlak, de muur ondersteunt een arm en de lijst bekroond het hoofd en de schouders van de gebruiker. De materiaalkeuze (paddoek en oliegebrand staal) en de perfectie van de uitvoering versterken het totaalbeeld.

Marieke van Diemen’s concept for Zetel places the person within a framework. The chair consists of three elements: a pedestal, wall and frame. They are the well-known bearers from the two and three dimensional visual arts. The pedestal serves as the seat, the wall supports the arm and the frame crowns the sitter’s head and shoulders. Both the choice of materials (paddoek and treated steel) and the piece’s prefect execution work to strengthen the overall picture.
