Marlies Spaan neemt de textuur van de stof vaak als vertrekpunt voor haar ontwerpen. Zo ontstond de serie zitelementen bo, ba, bi in heldere primaire kleuren. Buuf is een nieuw element in deze serie en is speciaal voor Zetel met rugleuning ontworpen.

Marlies Spaan takes fabric texture as the starting point for her work. This is how the series of primary coloured sitting components bo, ba, bi, originated. Buuf is a new piece in this series and was designed with a backrest especially for Zetel.
